Calligrapher & Tutor

As a calligrapher with around 30 years experience and continual study with local and overseas masters, I firmly believe that calligraphy is such a diverse field that you never stop learning.

Having spent 16 years as the in-house calligrapher at ‘The Glen’ Shopping Centre, I learnt how to write on all sorts of items on-the-spot (while people watched) and overcame many disasters. This experience is invaluable when teaching – students really appreciate the hint and tips I pass along, in addition to creative lettering.

I take classes in my “Inviting Ideas” Calligraphy Studio in East Burwood, teach on-line, as well as for The Calligraphy Society of Victoria, and have taught across Australia and New Zealand.

My work also includes commissions for calligraphic interpretations of poetry and prose, certificates, corporate launches and dinners, wedding invitations, and many one-off handmade cards for special occasions.

I am a former president of the Calligraphy Society of Victoria, and recommend joining to every budding calligrapher.
